It's a Winner!

Updated: Jul 24, 2021

Again this year I entered the National Collage Society's annual Small Format Exhibition. All of the collage entries in the exhibit are postcard size, 4" x 6". This year, due to Covid 19 restrictions, the exhibition is virtual. It is currently available for viewing until September 30, 2021.

I'm so pleased that my piece, Nebula, was selected as an award winner!

I've been on a bit of a creative hiatus of late. I received two books on collage for my birthday so I've been reading up on different materials and techniques used by other collage artists. I was also lucky enough to be able to get out of town for a vacation with family for a week. Thank you vaccine!

In an earlier blog post I mentioned that although I had constructed many of the small ceramic tiles that I make into magnets, I was unable to to get them fired. During quarantine, the local pottery store that does firing for customers, wasn't offering that service. I'm pleased to say that that service is once again being offered and I now have lots of tiles to glaze. Thank you Krueger Pottery!

Lastly, my collage, Far and Wide has been accepted in the St. Louis Artists Guild's upcoming juried exhibition, Abstract Abstraction. The exhibition runs from July 30 - August 28, 2021 at the St. Louis Artist Guild, located at, 12 N Jackson Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63105.
