The 3-hour class will cover:

Creating painted papers for collage fodder

Practicing mark making for creating patterns & design on paper
-
Using stencils, stamps, and paint pens to embellish collage layers

Combining semi-transparent and opaque papers for layering
-
Creating collages with a limited color palette
The class fee of $65 includes all materials. The collage sketches will be done within 3” square grids on sketchbook pages. The sketchbook will be yours to keep. (Students are welcome to bring magazines, papers, cards, or other personal items for their collages if they wish.)
This is great introductory class for my Art of Mixed Media Collage class, though it is not a prerequisite for that course. For both classes, no previous drawing or art background is needed.

Incorporating design elements and principles in collage composition

Materials and Techniques for creating collage
The class fee of $60 includes all materials. (Students are welcome to bring magazines, papers, cards, or other personal items for their collages if they wish.)
No previous drawing or art background is needed. Each student will leave class with a finished small collage.
