It's been a busy Summer! Travel to Maryland, North Carolina, the Canadian Maritimes, along with babysitting my grandsons for a several days in late July and early August. I did manage to squeeze in making more of my collage magnets and completing a new collage on cradle board entitled, Daybreak.
My collage, In the Rainy Season, was accepted into the St. Louis Artists’ Guild’s Members Exhibition. The exhibition runs from September 15 - October 14, 2023. There will be an opening reception on Friday, September 15 from 6-8pm at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild, which is located at 12 N. Jackson Ave. in St. Louis, MO. The Reception is open to all.
I'm also continuing to teach at both the senior living center and at Green Door Art Gallery. On November 4, 2023, I will again be teaching my Art of Mixed Media Collage class at the gallery. The class will run from 9am-12pm and then, from 1-4pm I'll be teaching my new class, Collage Grid Sketches. The collage sketches will be done within a grid of 3” squares on sketchbook pages, and students will keep the sketchbooks. If you're interested in learning more about the classes, visit the Exhibitions an Events page of my website. Scroll down the page to the Events section where you'll find information about the class content, costs, and how to register.
Now that summer is winding down, I need to get busy with some new pastel paintings for the upcoming Gateway Pastel Artists The Luminosity of Pastel, 25th Annual Member Exhibit in October. It's time to buckle down!
