Endings and Beginnings

2021 has come to an end, and 2022 is just beginning. Although 2021 was another challenging year with COVID-19 and its new variants. I have been fortunate to have, thus far, avoided COVID-19. The holidays were good and I was blessed to spend them with family. I had a minor knee injury, which has curtailed some of my activities, but I'm on the mend.

Despite 2021's challenges and frustrations, it was a good year for Clarkart-stl, LLC. I created several collage pieces, including my final piece of the year, Crescendo. I also completed several pastel paintings. My most recent pieces, Building Blocks and Skyline, are awaiting back ordered mat board in order to get them framed and priced.

I was finally able to get some new ceramic magnets fired and glazed, and I'm still making more of my collage magnets.

In August I went to Gloucester, MA with my friend, Joanne, where we spent several wonderful afternoons on various beaches sketching the scenery. I won awards in both of the National Collage Society Exhibits, and had artwork accepted in a few local exhibits. In November I participated in my first multi-day art fair, which was quite successful.

I hope that 2022 is a better year for us all. Happy New Year!
