I began this journey with the idea of an imagined, abstract landscape. I started, as I always do, with various papers and began cutting or tearing shapes. I had applied some acrylic paint to the background but I wasn't happy with the result. Long story short, I collaged over the paint, painted over that, cut parts out and added others in. I'm pleased with the finished piece.
On this occasion, as with others in the past, I enjoy those "happy accidents". My original composition didn't take me where I wanted to go, so I took a different path to a better place. This piece is entitled, "Under the Blue".
